BA Manager Forum

Since 2009 the BA Manager Forum has provided a means for anyone with managerial responsibility for Business Analysis to engage with their peers and share information at a strategic level. The management of BA resources is a relatively new and unique role and the Forum provides an opportunity to build common understanding and advance the BA profession as a whole.

Forum membership has grown in line with the increased prevalence of the BA Manager role. Over 150 BA heads of practice now gather twice per year to hear presentations on key topics and join workshops on areas of special interest. Many more practice leads stay in touch through event write-ups, on-line facilities and papers issued by the Forum.

The most tangible outcomes from the Forum are the development of the Expert BA Award and BA apprenticeship scheme.

The Forum will continue to organise events and take on initiatives which receive the backing of its members.

Congratulations to Jan Doherty, Sandra Leek and Terri Lydiard (senior BA’s with Lloyds Banking Group),
Adrian Reed (Blackmetric) Beth Downing (Diligenta) and Vicky Rothwell (CMEC) who are the
first six applicants to successfully complete the Expert BA Award. All applicants exceeded the expectations of the assessors and have confirmed the
advanced level of capability the Award sets out to recognise.
